  1. The cohort was divided into 3 groups: rapid recovery, CCI, and mortality groups. The study utilized medians and quartiles to compare continuous variables and frequencies and percentages to compare component variables for statistical descriptions. The Kruskal-Wallis test was used for continuous variables; the chi-square test was used for categorical variables.
